Shaker Aamer is a British resident Muslim who has been imprisoned without trial by the U.S in Bagram Airforce Base and Guantanamo Bay for over ten years. In this ten and continuing years of painful ordeal, he has not seen his wife, his children or his friends or any family member. He has never met his youngest child.
There is no reason why an innocent man, should spend 10 valuable years of his life, behind bars, despite the fact that there has been no evidence of him being guilty of any crime.
Sign this petition and help this brother get back to his family. Note that this petition can be signed only by UK residents. Non-UK residents, please remember brother Shaker and his family in your duas.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (saws) said:
“He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection; he who covers up (the faults and sins) of a Muslim, Allah will cover up (his faults and sins) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother…” [Muslim]
